Your photographer is the one person (besides your planner if you have one) that’s going to be spending the most time with you throughout your day, so it’s also pretty darn important that you’re going to get along with them as well! Why spend your day with someone who you hired via an impersonal chain of emails? This isn’t my first rodeo, and rest assured I know how to lay the groundwork for a spectacular photography experience.
Your experience begins before I even click the shutter button. It all starts with a simple video call to build that critical foundation of trust. One of (if not, the most!) favorite part of this job for me is truly getting to know my clients, their stories, and learning about things we have in common. You’ve already written your story together - my job is to tell it to the world by creating magical, dreamy photos.
THE PROCESS
Planning a wedding can feel stressful and overwhelming at times, but it doesn't have to be that way. Lord have mercy, it can all feel like a whirlwind - but that's where I come in with good ol' clear, concise, and transparent communication. One thing you can count on for sure is a simple, smooth, photography process with Woods + Co. Here's a quick breakdown of how things will unfold, from booking to delivery. Because no one likes unexpected surprises.
BOOK YOUR DATE
Once I receive your initial inquiry, I'll email you a link to hop on a brief phone call to discuss your vision (and to get to know each other a little better!). After deciding on which collection fits your needs best, you'll receive a client agreement to sign. Once your $500 non-refundable retainer is paid, your date will be saved and the fun will begin. And then, the best part - we'll start planning your engagement session!
GET PREPPED
One month before the wedding - after you've had some time to settle into your plans - we'll hop on a quick phone call to chat. Together, we'll map out a detailed photography timeline, iron out those last little quirks, and ensure everything is lined up to run smoother than your first champagne toast.
THE BIG DAY
I'm all about efficiency on wedding days - your organized, right hand gal who comes armed with umbrellas for surprise rain and a stash of accessories to make your detail photos pop. When family portraits roll around, I use my handy list of names to round everyone up quickly, saving time (and sanity). The goal? Gorgeous photos, zero chaos, and more time for you to enjoy the celebration instead of hunting down Uncle Bob.

decide which coverage IS RIGHT FOR YOU
After years behind the camera, I've learned one thing: couples always wrestle with deciding how much photography coverage they need. It's tougher than choosing cake flavors! To make the planning process a piece of cake (see what I did there?), I offer two types of coverage: full (up to 9 hours) and half day (up to 5 hours). Whether you're planning a massive party with all the bells and whistles or an intimate backyard wedding catered by Papa John's, I'll be there capturing every big moment, every little detail, and all the in-between magic you didn't even know you'd want.

- one venue for the entire day
You'll need half day coverage (up to 5 hours).
